VA National Cemeteries Now Offering Pre-Need Eligibility Determinations (2/15/2017)

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced it now provides eligibility determinations for interment in a VA national cemetery prior to the time of need. Through the Pre-Need Determination of Eligibility Program, upon request, individuals can learn if they are eligible for burial or memorialization in a VA national cemetery.

Diseases Associated with Exposure to Contaminants in the Water Supply at Camp Lejeune (2/15/2017)

A new VA rule establishes that veterans, former reservists, and former National Guard members, who served at Camp Lejeune for 30 days or more during August 1, 1953, to December 31, 1987, and who have been diagnosed with any of eight associated diseases are presumed to have obtained or aggravated the disease in service for purposes of entitlement to VA benefits.
