The California State Association of Counties (CSAC) is producing a series of videos and blog postings highlighting California Counties' best practices. The programs they are spotlighting are recipients of their annual Challenge Awards, which recognize the innovative and creative spirit of California county governments. The Imperial County Inside/Out College Program was a recipient of the award and below is a link to a brief video CSAC created about the program.

The Imperial County Board of Supervisors and the Imperial Irrigation District Board of Directors hosted a joint public workshop at Palmer Auditorium in Brawley, CA on april 11, 2016, to hear updates from local, state, and federal agencies on Salton Sea related activities and allow members of the public an opportunity to provide their input, comments, or express concerns.
Imperial County Executive Officer Ralph Cordova, Jr. and Imperial Irrigation District General Manager Kevin Kelley provide testimony to the State Water Resources Control Board on April 19, 2016 at a Public Workshop regarding recent action related to the Salton Sea by the Salton Sea Management Program. Both Imperial County dignitaries commend the state for its recent action toward identifying shovel-ready projects, however the proposed timelines to begin construction do not appear to have a sense of urgency.
