Starting Friday, October 28, 2016, the county Administration Center driveway located on Main Street shall be temporarily closed until Sunday, October 30, 2016 to allow repairs to the sidewalk curb. The parking lot shall remain open and may be access via the broadway driveway.
Operations will resume at each site at their next scheduled operating day.
Debbie Porter, Registrar of Voters, wishes to inform all registered voters of Imperial County that they should expect to receive their sample ballot booklets and vote by mail ballots by Friday, October 21, 2016. Ms. Porter was notified late Saturday afternoon that the printer vendor's printing press was inoperable for three days leading to delays of the sample ballot booklets and ballots being issued to Imperial County voters.
The Imperial County Registrar of Voters Office is launching a new early voting program that will allow registered voters to cast their ballots prior to the November 8, 2016 Election Day from the Imperial County Department of Social Services Mobile Office. The Mobile Office is a 36 foot RV that will visit eleven different communities throughout Imperial County on designated days to make voting more convenient and accessible.
The Imperial County Department of Public Works (ICDPW) will close Austin Road, between Aten Road and Worthington Road, from Tuesday, October 18, 2016 with plans to reopen on Friday, October 28, 2016. The closure is due to roadway improvements.
